Hi, I’m Sam.
I am a fully qualified Psychosexual Therapist and Clinical Sexologist, supporting individuals, couples and partners with concerns relating to sex, intimacy, relationships, identity, emotional connection and self understanding.
I recognise that conversations about sex and relationships can feel highly personal. For many people, even making the first enquiry can feel like a big step. You may be feeling anxious, embarrassed, confused, disconnected, overwhelmed, or uncertain about whether what you are experiencing is “normal”.
My role is not to judge or pathologise, but to offer a calm, confidential and professional space where you can begin to explore what is happening with care, honesty and respect.
My approach
I work in a warm, inclusive and collaborative way. Therapy is not about being told what to do, or being pushed into conversations before you are ready. It is a space where we can make sense of your experiences together, at a pace that feels manageable.
Psychosexual therapy often involves looking at more than one part of a person’s life. Sexual wellbeing can be closely connected to emotional wellbeing, physical health, identity, self esteem, past experiences, relationship patterns, communication, stress and the way we feel in our bodies.
Because of this, my work considers the whole person, not just a symptom or difficulty in isolation. Together, we can explore both what is happening now and what may be contributing to it.
What I can support with
People come to therapy for many different reasons. You may have a specific sexual concern, a relationship difficulty, a loss of intimacy, questions around identity, or a sense that something feels blocked or hard to talk about.
I support clients with concerns around desire, arousal, sexual confidence, intimacy, communication, emotional disconnection, pain, shame, anxiety, trust, relationship changes, identity, attachment, trauma and patterns that feel difficult to shift.
Some people come alone. Others come with a partner or partners. Some arrive with a clear issue they want to work on. Others simply know that something feels difficult and they want a safe place to begin.
You do not need to have the right language before getting in touch.
Who I work with
My practice is inclusive of all genders, sexual orientations, relationship structures, cultural backgrounds and lived experiences.
I work with individuals, couples and partners, including LGBTQ+ clients, neurodivergent clients, clients in consensually non monogamous relationships, and adults at different stages of life.
What matters most is that therapy feels respectful, thoughtful and safe enough for you to speak honestly about what you are experiencing.
What therapy can feel like
Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially when the subject is intimate or sensitive. The first sessions are about building understanding, not rushing towards quick answers.
We may talk about what has brought you to therapy, what you have already tried, what feels difficult, what you would like to change, and what kind of support may be most helpful.
Therapy may include reflection, psychoeducation, communication work, emotional exploration, body awareness, relationship patterns and practical tools. The exact shape of the work depends on you, your circumstances and what you hope to gain from therapy.

Suggested wording once you have the exact details:
I trained in psychosexual and relationship therapy, with a clinical focus on sexuality, intimacy, relationships, identity and emotional wellbeing. My work is informed by psychosexual therapy, relationship therapy, attachment informed approaches, trauma informed practice, psychoeducation, emotional and relational support, body awareness and communication focused interventions.
In person and online sessions
I offer sessions both in person and online.
In person sessions take place in a quiet garden office, designed to feel calm, private and comfortable. The setting offers a peaceful space away from the busyness of everyday life, while remaining professional and confidential.
Online sessions are available for clients who prefer to meet from home, live further away, or find online therapy more accessible. You will need a private space where you feel able to speak openly and will not be interrupted.
Both in person and online therapy can be effective. We can discuss which option feels right for you.
Beginning therapy
You are welcome to start with a free 10 minute phone consultation. This gives you a chance to briefly speak with me, ask any initial questions and get a feel for whether therapy may be the right next step.
If you decide to continue, we would usually begin with an assessment session. This gives us time to understand what has brought you to therapy, what you would like support with and how we might work together.
You do not need to share everything straight away. The first step is simply making contact.
